The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Finale The Story The LOTR prequel series, and one of the most expensive TV shows ever made, is set long before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books, chronicling the rise of Sauron and other monumental events from Middle Earth's Second Age. The show has given us breakout star Morfydd Clark as mighty elf warrior Galadriel, shown us gorgeous Númenor (an island kingdom with a rich history), introduced a mysterious bearded “giant” who fell from the sky (and some suspect could be Gandalf), and unleashed the fury of Mount Doom, transforming the Southlands into Mordor. The Season 1 finale is now streaming for all Amazon Prime Video subscribers. The BIG Question Answered Heading Into the Finale: After weeks of theories about which character is actually Sauron in disguise, his true identity was finally revealed. What Critics are Saying - “A visually staggering, flawed epic.” — BBC
- “There are ways to do a prequel, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power does them all wrong.” — Entertainment Weekly
What Likewisers are Saying: - “Visually stunning, it lives up to expectations and captures a level of cinematography rarely seen on the smaller screen. The characters and plot are intriguing and filled with connections to the movies.” — @anita_skop
- “It’s beautiful and evocative and I love not knowing what’s going to happen.” — @cheryl_white_2453

Rosaline & The Best Shakespearean Rom-Coms Hulu's new movie Rosaline gives a spin on the Shakespeare classic Romeo and Juliet, telling the love story from the perspective of a character we don't get to hear much about in the play: Rosaline, Romeo's girlfriend whom he dumps for Juliet. In this version, a heartbroken Rosaline (Booksmart's Kaitlyn Dever) sets out to win back Romeo's heart. This movie is hardly the only rom-com retelling of a classic from the Bard. |
